Bore Water Treatment Plant

Bore Water Treatment Plant

What is a Bore Water Treatment Plant?

If you’re considering a bore water treatment plant to improve the quality and thus versatility of your water source, our experienced team can help! Bore water is groundwater that is accessed by drilling into the ground, and pumping it to the surface for your use. While this water can contain a number of chemicals and micro-organisms, once it is properly filtered, it can be used for farm irrigation, and several other applications. All of out water treatment systems are custom-built to meet your exact water usage requirements. Further, they are all designed and manufactured locally in South Australia, and have a Product of Australia certification. This gives our clients complete confidence in the reliability and longevity of our products. No matter the scale of your project, our friendly team will be happy to help.

Our Technology

There are 2 main technologies that are considered when designing and manufacturing a bore water treatment plant. Ultrafiltration, commonly referred to as UF, is a membrane separation process that removes suspended solids, bacteria, most viruses, endotoxins and other pathogens. As a result, this produces water with high purity levels and low silt density. UF systems are often used in conjunction with other purification technologies such as Reverse Osmosis (RO). RO is commonly used for bore water treatment plants by removing dissolved salts and impurities from water. The semi-permeable membrane allows a passage of water while rejecting inorganic and metals ions. A well-designed RO system will reject 95-99% of water contaminants, and require little maintenance once installed. About Membrane Systems

We understand the need for fast solutions, especially as the demand for water becomes critical in regional Australia. Both directors of Membrane Systems, along with several fellow employees have all been personally affected by droughts and floods, with their origins reliant on the River Murray and the Murray-Darling River System. Coming from land and farming environments, our directors both have a deep passion to design and manufacture versatile and effective water treatment systems for Australian communities and industries. Our team have experience across a range of industries, with many applications available to suit varying requirements. Some industries we commonly work with include:

  • Local Governments & Towns
  • Remote communities
  • Dairy & poultry
  • Mining
  • Beverage
  • Food manufacturing
  • Irrigation
  • Farming

Membrane Systems are 100% Australian Owned & Operated. We provide flexible and innovative water treatment solutions, and can create a bore water treatment plant suited to you! Contact 1300 851 46 and discuss your next project with us.
